I have now moved onto the branding part of this project, i need to discover myself a word-mark and also a logo for this project.

I am going to begin by sketching out some ideas that are kind of based off of what the actual product is.

Here is the first bit of mindmapping i have done,

I thought that i came up with some nice ideas, and i ended up putting some of the words together from each of the individual areas that i had looked at, i ended up shortlisting some of the main ideas that i was more leaning towards.

I thought that there were some pretty good ones but the main two that i am leaning towards using are, ‘Focus’ and ‘OnTrack’.

After thinking of it i ended up using ‘OnTrack’ for my brand name.

I then started to sketch out some brief ideas in regards to the logos which is based off of the word mark i have chosen,

I was quite happy with the two at the bottom that i came up with, as this is a product which is supposed to help with University students i added in the graduate hat you get and i think that it actually works quite well.

Designing the Brand

Now that i have a good idea on what logo i want to design and already having the wordmark its self chosen, aswell as the colour and typography that i had researched on the previous page.

I want to now spend some time in making some branding out of this.

I felt like i was moving in a good direction with what i was making as i wanted to include something in the brand that mentions its a university based project.

The one that i was most happy with was the one below, i also decided to make some app icons for it aswell which i thought actually looked really good. Moving forward and after the critique i might have some changes to make to the branding especially if it doesn’t suit in the way i design the product aswell, but i think that this is a good benchmark for the brand itself.
