Too start off this design phase for the CV, I done two quick sketch’s to firstly see what type of lay-out i was wanting to go for, I decided to lean towards using the layout on the right. I think overall it looks neat and presentable.

Typography

The next thing on the agenda was for me to find a suitable typeface to use throughout the CV, i will go for a sans serif look as i think it would work best with the modern minimal layout i am going for.

I was thinking of going for ‘Helvetica’. I think ‘Helvetica’ is a nicely put together font and i know that it will make a good impression on my CV, in first year i done a project based off of the font and i was happy with how it looked in all different style’s and weights then.

Digital Development

The software that i am using to design my CV is Adobe InDesign, i haven’t actually usd this software before so i am going to watch a quick tutorial video.

I was quite happy with this design, i only used black as a colour through-out with both the text and the dividers, overall i think it looks quite well and neat, but for this second design i’m going to try and lay it out a bit differently and try some different sizing in some of the headers aswell.

Design 2

This is what i came up with for the second design,
