I was asked to create a new and unique version of a diagrammatic dashboard. I was asked to record some information that i can display inside of the dashboard throughout one week. I chose to record my activity throughout that week.
I had 4 different sections that would include the ability to see data on your Heart rate, Exercise time, Calories burned and time standing.
All of the data would have been picked up while i was wearing my Apple watch which is pretty much everyday so i should have good and accurate numbers on each of them. I put all of the data into a spreadsheet to make it easier to view.
After i had collected all of the data for this project i then began by sketching out some layouts for the dashboard. The i was also asked to lay the dashboard out on an iPad frame, which i thought was quite good because it lets you have a lot more space to work with compared to a phone screen.
I decided to go for the use of two different shades of blue which i will use to represent all of the data on the graphs and charts. I used the lighter shade of blue on parts of data for the completed goals and the darker shade for the goals that were not completed.
The black and white is mainly in use for text and the use of icons and obviously the background colour, i just thought i would keep it simple.
The dark grey will be used as seen in the designs for the boxes in which all of the data sections are listed in. Also for text boxes to add a bit more character throughout the dashboard.
The three colours at the bottom are my abstract colours that i use for some bits of text with the green saying goal completed and the red saying the opposite of that.
