As i am now done the sketching and wire framing section of this project, and developed some lo-fi screens that i am happy with, i am now in the development stage of the product.
I will end up making some slight changes to the overall layout to be able to fit the appropriate text in the required sections.
Here are the developed screens,
Home Screen
The home screen is the main control centre for the heating. It gives you the ability to adjust the temperature up and down by using the two arrows to the left of the temperature in the middle.
The three boxes below allows you to either put your heating into eco-mode, turn on the fan and control its strength and direction and a timer to allow the user to be have the heating come on at a certain time.
The section at the bottom quickly briefly shows you the current amount of energy that is being used on the day and also gives a shortcut to the energy consumption screen which gos more into detail on the energy consumption.
Heating Schedule
The next screen is the heating schedule, where i didn’t make any proper changes from what i originally had with both the sketches and the initial wireframes, this one gives the ability to set different temperatures for each room in the house and what time you wish to have them. By clicking on any of the boxes it would open up an overlay which allows you to edit the rooms.
Below i added a quick shortcut which allows you to turn on or off any of the heating schedules you may be using in the home, i added in some of the apple toggle buttons that you might find in other products to make it more user friendly and professional.
Energy Consumption
The final main screen of the project is the energy consumption screen, it allows you to flick through either your weekly, monthly or yearly average of the energy usage. Below that is a small section which would allow the user to set up a energy saving hub for their home heating.
The bottom section firstly gives a shortcut to the eco - mode and the timer section as they are also ways in which you can help to drop down on the amount of energy that is being used, beside that is an energy score that helps to show you how well you are doing with saving any energy in your home.
