From mindmapping and looking in-to the likes of real world problems, my own personal interests and UI/UX topics previously. I left myself in a good spot to move forward with working ideas, i went on to individually look further into them with Sports, Equality & Accessibility and how they could be some what combined.

After more thought i felt it would be better to move forward with the likes of sports and equality related ideas, As i feel that them two fall into the same path in more way than one and for lots of different reasons.

I spent some time looking into different ways in how i should be wording some of these research questions and how i can make sense of it and move forward into the actual research stage and gathering of references.

Initial Research & References

I began looking into some articles using Google Scholar for the first time - plenty of very helpful and insightful articles came up relating to my research question, which gives me a bit more clarity on the topic that i am choosing to move forward with as there is clearly alot to be spoke about on it.

The first article i looked into was one called Why We Should Care About Inclusivity in SportsHCI. I didn’t read through the entire article but i was still able to look at some very interesting points that were made throughout.

One of the parts i found interesting was in section 2 of the article,

“The everyday athlete”

This is pretty much referring to people who take part in sports without being professional or even competitive.

The second article i looked into was called The potential role of artificial intelligence to promote the participation and inclusion in physical exercise and sports for people with disabilities. Again i though that this article was quite interesting, with it being more A.I based and now about design it spoke on topics alot differently.

One of the quotes i found which i thought was helpful for my case was this,

“AI offers unprecedented opportunities to promote participation and inclusion in exercise and sports for people with disabilities.”

I found that this was very relevant to the case that A.i and design can be very helpful to make sports more inclusive and also. accessible for everyone.
