In this weeks lecture we were ran through the workplace etiquette.
To sum up simple workplace etiquette, it is about behaving in a respectful and professional way with others at work, this includes being polite and showing up on time. It’s important to listen when others speak and try not to zone out in the process it also involves respecting others privacy, and following company rules. Helping your team, giving credit where it’s due, and handling conflicts calmly are all part of good workplace behaviour. By following these simple rules, you create a better work environment where everyone feels respected and valued which is the most important part for me. Keeping your workspace tidy, like organising your desk and clearing away unnecessary stuff, can make it easier to focus on tasks. In shared spaces, like the kitchen or meeting rooms, it is important to clean up after yourself by wiping down surfaces, throwing away rubbish, and washing any dishes you might have used.
This was quite a simple and basic lecture week, but i still found it to be quite useful. For when i go onto a placement role or even when i graduate it is good to know all of this information on workplace etiquette because i haven’t worked in an office or a studio before.
