Piet Mondrain

Piet Mondrian was born on March 7, 1872, in Amersfoort, Netherlands. He is best known for his grid-based paintings with geometric shapes, especially his use of primary colours and non-objective compositions. One of his most famous works is "Composition with Red, Blue, and Yellow.”

Theo Van Doesburg

Theo van Doesburg was a Dutch artist, designer, and writer, best known for being one of the founders of the De Stijl movement. De Stijl, meaning "The Style" in Dutch, was an art movement that emerged in the 20th century. He played a crucial role in promoting the De Stijl principles, emphasising geometric abstraction, primary colours, and a reduction of form to its essential elements.

Constructivism
