What is Content Design?

To put it simply content design is a process of planning, creating, and organising content to make it accessible for users. Its focus is delivering the right information in the right way and at the right time. This is to ensure that users can easily find and understand what they need. This includes writing, structuring content, and designing how it’s presented across digital platforms like websites and apps.

Good content design considers user needs, research, and accessibility making sure the content is simple and effective.

Postels Law

"Be conservative in what you do, be liberal in what you accept from others.”

Postels Law means that systems should be strict in the way they operate but also to be flexible in how they handle input. For example a website should store dates in a consistent format but accept various date formats from users to improve the usability. This principle is widely applied in software development and in UX design to improve the overall user experience.

Monza Tone Of Voice

In a class task we were split into our designated groups, the role that my group was given was to investigate and pick out some of the features from the tone of voice of the banking app Monzo.

Below are all things that we managed to find from going through the website of Monzo.

Reflection

I thought that this class was quite interesting, i enjoyed learning about the postels law and how effective it can be when it comes to the likes of user data and needs, i also thought that the teardown on the tone of voice of monzo was a good task to go through.
