In class this week we looked at some previous dashboards that are made by some previous graphic designers. We looked into some of them for them to give us some inspiration on the dashboards i will be making for my project.

Edward Tufte is a famous statistician and a professor of political science, statistics, and computer science at the Yale University. He is best known for his work in the industry of data visualisation and information design. He has also written several influential books on his subjects. Some of them being,

He has also taught courses and delivered lots of lectures on data visualisation and information design. He is known for clarity, simplicity, and integrity in the presentation of his work.

Nicholas felton

Nicholas Felton was a designer that was known for his innovative approach to visualising personal data. He gained attention for his annual "Feltron Annual Reports," which began in 2005. These reports documented his personal activities and experiences throughout the year, presenting them in visually exciting and intriguing forms.

The reports he made typically included various statistics and visualisations related to his daily routines and travel patterns. He collects data using various tools and methods, ranging from manual logging and tracking through digital devices.

My Thoughts

I thought some of the ideas and designs behind the visual dashboards that we looked at were really interesting, considering the manor in which they were designed. I especially liked the feltron reports and the designs in all of them.
