This week wasn’t exactly spent as a full lecture, it was to give us time to work on the developing stage for our banking app.
i spent it working on the components that i took from the revolut app during my UX teardown, i re-created the majority of the parts that i liked on their app so i could be able to use them for my own. I changed the colours and the typeface to the ones that i chose for my brand.
Here is what some of them look like,
I was quite happy with the overall outcome with all of the buttons and icons that i created but i was pointed out the contrast of the colours which initially i didn’t even think about so after i went back into figma and switched the colours to shades that would actually work with others.
So i pretty much had to come up with a fresher looking colour palette to use for the rest of the project and switch the colours on the components.
So below is the new and improved version of my colour palette with each of the colours having a strong rating on the ‘Use Contrast’ plugin.
Today was quite an eye opening class with me having to switch around some of my previous ideas like the colour palette, i was quite happy with the look of the original one that i had but now that i have one that works better i am sure it can help make my project even better.
